True story: I worked for a door company where the executive office didn't have a door to it. They thought they would get around to replacing it for months but no one ever did. Even today there's no door there. Also, we don't know specifically who or where the earl is during Caradec's transformation, so who knows if he could or even would have forced him to go through with his metamorphosis? The biological questions can be answered by my 9000+ page thesis. Why not tell Ember any of this? Stick around and you'll see.

Dialogue:
Zhaolong: See, Ember, Caradec’s reluctance to embrace his dragon side led to his demotion from overseer of the garden to resident. On top of that, he had to endure years of taming before re-entering civilization. Had he embraced his Draconity on its onset, he could have managed the instincts and kept his office.
Ember: WHY DIDN’T THAT EARL GUY COMMAND HIM TO EMBRACE HIS DRACONITY? WHY DOESN’T CARADEC HAVE A DOOR TO HIS OFFICE? HOW DOES A HUMAN TRANSFORM INTO A DRAGON WITHOUT LOSING CO-ORD-IN-ATION OF ITS ORGANS? SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO THE HAAAATCHLING!
Zhaolong: Ahh, but the book does not concern us with the finer details of Caradec’s life, just the finest detail of it— his miraculous transformation.

A door company who's executive office has no door, is it bad I'm laughing so hard over that?

I also worked for an architect who lived in one of the least-designed houses on the block. You know what they say, the cobbler's children go barefoot.  No one thinks about it until Ember asks a question, you know?

Something should be put in the hatchling's mouth.

Like a megaphone? I don't think that would solve her yelling problem. ^.=.^

Ahh, how I'd love to continue this series... but personal life obligations are just too pressing right now. Glad to see you're still interested in the series, though; it's additional motivation for me to start drawing again, despite all the things I have to do.

Ah, so because he supressed the instincts for so long they overpowered him afterwards and it took other People / Dragons to teach him how to deal with them? interesting. ^^ Also funny how that Little green fella sits there and complains about the 'illogic' TF. *snickers*

You got it. One recurring theme of this series will be the consequences of turning from your Draconity (if you are Draconic), and the rewards for embracing it.

There will be much more Ember to enjoy in the future strips, as she will be listening to the next TF stories as well. As you can imagine, if she had such skeptic reservations about this TF, she’ll have more than a few questions for the rest of the material!
