Я пела золоту листвы – и лес сиял листвой;Я пела ветру – он летел, ласкал убор лесной.
За царством Солнца и Луны, по берегам морским,
У Ильмарина льется свет нед Древом Золотым.
Под звездной сенью Эльдамар тем светом озарен
У стен, хранящих от врага Эльфийский Тирион.
А здесь померк цветущий лес, и безнадежно ждет
Сияния златых ветвей скорбящий мой народ.
О Лориен! Грядет зима – печальных дней итог.
Уносит палую листву темнеющий поток.
О Лориен! В твоих краях минуло столько лет,
Что эланор в моем венце утратил прежний свет.
Когда спою о корабле – придет ли он на зов,
Умчит ли за Море народ угаснувших лесов?
