LOOOL, these were interesting to take. XD First of all, we were up in the VIP guest lounge at the Hyatt because our photographer had SPECIAL ACCESS (*collective 'oooo'*) and I got in trouble for having my airsoft gun (SUCH A RULEBREAKER 8D) but they liked me enough that I got away with it, ku ku ku. >DThey kept saying that they had to protect the guests and stuff, which I understand...but...really? xD; Yes, I'm going to kill them all with my unloaded, fake gun. ;D
Anyway.
Yeah, so Xiru borrowed ~Savvyxoxo 's Near costume which was the shiz! We got chocolate in thanks! XD

You know, if they were weary about your gun the way you say, you should have pulled a South-Park style R Kelly by dramatically elevating it above your head, exclaiming "SO AH PULL OUT MAH GUN!"

I heard that the reason they're being really careful with all this stuff (prop rules, no masks, Airsoft restrictions, etc.) was because in some con in another state, a cosplayer came in and started shooting people.

The security told me, and it's also said on the website, that it's because in Chicago (the location of the convention) people and gangs have started to paint the tips of their guns orange and actually have been carrying them around, and...well, shooting people. So yeah. It's understandable.

Oooo, thanks! I'm so so glad you noticed the lighting. It was a very interesting setting. Everything had a nice yellowish tint and made it look almost warehouse-y. *o*
