Description
UmeUme (U) is a dominant gene that causes dark striping on the body. If your Zhoruka is black or has black markings, ume will usually be the same or occasionally a darker shade of black than the rest of the coat. The stripes are irregular in shape and are often jagged and split. Stripes range from being thin to being so thick and numerous that the coat appears to be majority black with red based stripes.
On recessive red and recessive black Zhorukas, ume will be darker than the base coat as usual.

A NOTE ABOUT VISUAL GUIDES
Zhoruka visual guides offer general guidelines for colors, patterns, placement of markings, and extension of markings. They are not set in stone, hard rules, but they are fairly true to our design expectations. You are not required to color pick from gradients; they are meant as a starting point for those who may not know what colors to use.
