In an interview, Saint seiya creator Masami Kurumada said that he envisioned the mariners in blue and silver colors but decided to make them golden and orange to make them look more powerful -3- and thanks !

Nostalgia does not let me know if this color would have been more or less memorable for the Marinas.
I love these colors, but there are lot's of anime villains (and anti-heroes) with black-ish colors. It could have made the Marinas less memorable...
FUN FACT: Although Orichalcum is depicted these days as an Azure Blue crystal (by Disney; Yu-Gi-oh!; ect...) Plato describes it as looking more like the color of the Marina Scales.

Yeah, im also in the fence about these colors: i love them but i also love the golden-orange colors used in the anime and mythcloth figures. At this point, i guess i could love both in the same amount. But hey, it was a fun experiment

Hasta parece que brillan en la obscuridad y profundidad oceànica. Tambièn me encantò còmo se ven... hasta ganas me dan de oficializar estos tonos en mi canon pero el dorado y naranja tienen lo suyo. Tú qué opinas?
O debería resolverlo de esta manera? : Que adquieren estos tonos en una muy profunda región del mar. A poca profundidad y en la superficie son los tonos del Anime. Estoy jugueteando con la idea...

Pienso en lo siguiente; Si quieres darles a las Escamas esas tonalidades azuladas, entonces que solo se manifiesten bajo éstas condiciones:
1) Estén reunidos los 7 Generales Marinos en un solo lugar. Digo esto porque recordé la "Resonancia" que tienen las Armaduras Doradas.
2) Que los Generales se encuentren en el palacio submarino de la Emperatriz Novo.
