Description
...even Spanishian. There are but two things that amuse me and that is well-placed sarcasm for one and the stupidity of others (and, with a bit of time-healing, my own), so I wanted to capture this little beauty here [link] and share it. For I am generous and not at all attentionseeking like that.
I do hope it is obvious I picked the characters (with the exception of Spain) for their stereotypes, not because I want to make some sort of statement like 'All US Americans are uneducated/ All British people speak like they have an Oxford dictionary imprinted to their brain'.
I neither know what nationality the original author of that monolouge is nor do I care.

Sadly enough I myself have heard people ask similar questions and make similar statements. Makes me want to cry, a little bit.
Lololololo Spain's face.

Actually, Spaniard is Spanish + Bastard. It's a slur. Most English speakers do no realize this.

I'll direct you to this rant:
[link]
"By the way, SPANIARD= SPANISH + BASTARD. Not the same as SPANISH people. I never call an English person "Limey" or a Chinese a "Shinaman" or Asian people "Orientals" so I expect people to call me Spanish and not "Spaniard" which is a pretty derogative term. I know, your dictionary of english and wikipedia say that spaniard is perfectly ok, but it is NOT."

How about you go to wikipedia and give the article about the word "Spaniard" some correction or something?

Well, I would, but I technically do not have a "reliable" source to site,
nor do I come from Spain, so my edits will most likely be rejected. x_x

Oh failbook.. I think it's a nice match up of characters, it got the joke across well.
I also just love that last panel, they both look so exasperated. It might be an odd think to complement, but England's hand is drawn very nicely there as well.

Ah, I know what you mean. It's helpful to draw the characters from official drawings then from memory imho.

Wait, you're a failbooker?? That's positively amazing and full of happiness.
This really is a true failure......... but I can't talk. I once couldn't remember the word "Swiss" so I said "Switzerlish." ...I was not having a smart day that day.
Love Spain's face in the bottom panel. He looks like he's trying so hard to continue looking happy... poor, poor him.

Haha, it's been well over a year that I mistook France's flag for Italy's and a friend of mine still makes fun of it every now and then.
Then again I did have a flags chart right infront of me.

EccentricallyAlive In reply to Zieberich [2011-08-22 00:41:08 +0000 UTC]
Those flags are rather confusing... I honestly wish they were more simple, like the Japanese flag. It isn't incredibly hard to draw (unless you're circle-challenged), so it's awesome.

Ahhh... I do have friends who speak like that, bless their hearts. XD'' Mexico features so much more prominently in our news than Spain. When you bring up the topic, you can see the gears working furiously behind people's eyes to sort it out...
As an added note, SPOT ON with America wanting to make "Spanishian" a word. Americans love the novelty of new words.

Considering all the stuff I read at "Not Always Right", I'm not one bit surprised to hear that coming from America's mouth
And a bit off topic, isn't Spain a bit shorter and less bulky?

Zieberich In reply to Birvan [2011-08-21 09:44:32 +0000 UTC]
Well, from what I've learned every country has it's idiot-ratio, America's 'mistake' is that he has very, very many people. And internet.
Oh, you're right, associations must've gotten the better of me. He's supposed to be tall, though, at least in comparsion to England.

Birvan In reply to Zieberich [2011-08-21 11:30:51 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, but still some of the stuff he comes up with is unbelievable. Like that lady who ordered a steaming drink, burned her lips drinking it and sued the company for not having a label on the cups warning steaming drinks are hot. And won!
Actually the south and west europeans tend to be shorter than the northern ones, so they should be around the same height [link]
