Not fully finished, I have to smooth out some of the "rough" edges, but this is my interpretation of Erykah Badu one on my favorite artists.Related content

Even unfinished has excellence written all over. Personally, Badu is also a personal favorite of mine as well and for this illustration, *zigbone has done an extremely great job of his interpretation of Erykah Badu. Hopefully, if he should continue with it, just like the Lauryn Hill illustration, do a second version of it with the detail.
What I like about the work is the fact, that, like others, it's an extreme close-up of the celebrity's face. The focal point is mainly on the facial expression as if to portray the artist is looking up at something.
But overall, this is excellent work!

I was browsing for ages but i found something i acutally LOVED and was blown away by... this has a special effect and depth which lured me in, and made me wanted to study it for a good long time. It has the something about it. That just makes it amazing for me. Her emotions really reflect her most inner thoughts, shes looking up with large open eyes, her mouth open slightly. I just love it. The shading is supurb and the background. Very original. You have inspired me. You are amazing at drawing and stuff. You have a bright future a head of you!

I enjoy this piece as well! Β There's a lot of feeling in the subject's expression, and the "big" hair makes for a fun kind of negative space - which really brings out the face.

love it! aspecially the eyes and the lips. however i red the critiques and i'd have to agree that badu vibe is quite challenging to catch. there's
one tehnic detail i noticed: size of her specs is not identical (left is smaller). overall i adore it

Your talent is undeniable,
Overall, it's ON POINT. The only think I don't get from the representation is the spririt of Erykah.. that being said, she's a lot to filter down to canvas.. Ms Badu is a lot of woman.
But I do love it, it is one variation of her.. would love to how you to capture her energy, artistry, music, fire and changing image in the future
