Now this was a fun page to work on. Illustrating more of what the Sacred Island of Höm looks like inside was neat. Again, like the last few pages, I had to re-do a lot of the color palette to stay consistent with the next few.

I think it's great that you have a exciting set piece like this as part of the story opening to kick things off with a bang. The race is an opportunity to showcase the environment and introduce new characters in a competitive way. I have a question: How do you feel about reader interest so far? Do you feel this feedback is enough, or were you hoping for a stronger readership like your SA2 comic to justify all the hard work you put into this? Be honest.

Comments are my favorite thing when I look at feedback. I have this comic on my website, here, Tumblr, and Twitter, and get different interactions with each website. If I am being honest, I've put a lot more work into this than SA2, but I was expecting a lot less people. It's just that people aren't as interested in original content as opposed to things they already love. I posted 1 Undertale picture on tumblr last year and people went crazy. Post Sonic stuff and another group of people love it. Post this comic with characters that nobody cares about yet and it won't impress as much. I hope to get people enjoying my world as a more established story is brought to life, but for now I am legitimately having fun. I've NEVER had as much fun working on something in my spare time. A stronger readership would be nice, of course, I love to hear what's working and what isn't from the eyes of others, and I'll keep advertising as I go, but I've engraved it into my head that this will not be as popular as fanart, especially at first.
