i LOVE the new game mechanic of "hiding" with the freddy mask, that's genius on Scott's part.

the new designs are interesting and i'd gladly give them a chance

I really like Chica's new design. In my opinion, I think besides the *Cough* "Panties" *Cough* But I honestly don't mind those much.
Her new body design makes her look a lot friendlier, and more approachable. Unlike in the original, when they look.... horrifying.
And yeah! I agree with you! The Freddy mask idea was brilliant!

in my opinion, i kinda like Chica's old design. i like that she looked horrifying because the new chica actually all the new designs look kinda fake so yeah

They do look fake, yes. 
But considering there is no doors,
I think the fact that they do look fake will help calm you down, 
And...
Specially with Foxy.
