Description
Curare was born an orphan in the Himalayas. She grew up with future Green Lantern Kai-Ro in an ashram. Getting older, Curare and Kai-Ro saw their lives very differently. Kai-Ro was happy with his life at the ashram but Curare viewed the temple as a cage and the monk elders as her keepers. Curare believed there was a life beyond the ashram that offered riches and recognition. Kai-Ro only wanted to practice humility and was content with the life he had at the temple.
In the dark of the night, Curare left the ashram and took with her many valuable items, including a Green Lantern ring that came to Kai-Ro but he was unsure of wanting to use it, so he put it away until his choice was made. Curare accidentally alerted the entire temple to her theft and attempted escape and she would now have to fight her way out. She killed many monks til she made it outside onto the snow covered mountains and was confronted by her "brother". Kai-Ro begged her not to take this path and pleaded with her to take punishment for what she had just done. Curare attempted to strike him down, but the Ring left her bag and attached itself to Kai-Ro who finally knew the path his life would take, to protect others from evils such as his "sister". No matter what Curare would do, she could not get past him and she attempted to escape by throwing herself off a cliff. Kai-Ro caught her but she threw a small dagger at him and in trying to defend himself he wasn't able to hold Curare and she plummeted into the snowy darkness of the mountains.
Curare was later found by the League of Assassins with most of her body broken. They could fix her but not with a price. Curare would have to serve the League and she accepted. The League was a splinter group who served the ideals of their old master and tried many times to replicate the Lazarus Pit after Batman destroyed the last one and let Ra's Al Ghul die. Their attempts made for Lazarus Pits with different and sometimes disastrous results. The latest one was capable of healing but would warp the mind of those exposed to it and turn their skin greyish blue. Curare was thrown into the pit and when she emerged, she was better than before, after her training, she excelled beyond some of the most experienced assassins and became a highly effective killing machine.
Curare never let a target get away from her until her last mission was in Gotham. Batman stopped Curare and her failure caused her to go on the run from the League since the price of failure was death. Now she's back in Gotham, looking to finish off the man who caused her greatest failure and she won't stop until either her or Batman is dead.
I based the look of this new Curare off of the ninjas from the League of Assassins from Arkham Knight.

Oh! Now I remember. She would be a loyalist. In this timeline, Batman destroyed the Lazarus Machine that was keeping Ra's alive. The remaining loyalists to Ra's escaped Gotham after Ra's was taken to the GCPD and after his death, they set a plan in motion to mold the perfect assassin that could even kill The Batman. They would find this future assassin in a Tibetan orphan who lived in a monastery with her brother.

Her laser-sharpened scimitar has been donated to Wayne Manor since her capture at "The Final Cut", and she's in Neo Stonewall Prison since then.

Well as a member of the League of Assassins, a prison can only hold Curare for so long. She'll get out eventually. Plus she'll be either determined to get her scimitar back or get a new one if she's not too attached to it.

Yes I have, but this is Batman Beyond in the Arkham Universe where they're known as the League of Assassins.

Anyway, Curare has hunted down each member of the League of Assassins and blanked out their minds and wiping their memories, effectively turning them into brain-dead vegetables without the necessity to take their lives, before hunting down McGinnis. I could imagine Terry fighting the Joker on TN-1 and Titan Formula.

But why did she hunt them down ?
Well it's gonna be a tough fight for Terry. Joker's Son is only using Titan Formula that his body creates.

Since she failed to kill Neo Gotham City District Attorney Sam Young, Commissioner Barbara Gordon's husband, Curare became the target of the League of Assassins, it is the price each member of the League of Assassins has to pay, but Curare doesn't relent on dying, she turned the tables on them and came after the League of Assassins one member at a time, and erased their minds and incapacitating them with a special mind-wiping chemical agent in grenades that set off on contact, and once they're out of her way, Curare will go after Terry without any distractions.
The real Joker did use Bane's venom, so it'd make sense. Do you remember the Batmech from Batman: The Brave and The Bold? I bet that would give Terry an edge to handle Venom & TN-1 users like Bane.

Isn't that a little too harsh for such an impersonal target of the League of Assassins ? I mean if every assassin who failed was killed, then I doubt they'd be as big of an army as they are.
Well the improved version of Bane's Venom. Terry will probably not use that version of the Batmech, maybe the one from The Batman www.joecustoms.com/customs/ima…

Curare didn't really kill them, just wiped their minds with grenades packing a special chemical agent.
Anyways, you've seen how big the Batmech is in The Brave and The Bold.

It just seems like a bad way for the League of Assassins to end. They should go out in a better way, like a city wide war between two divided factions of the League.
Yeah.

Yes, well, it's canonical that the entire League of Assassins except Curare got their minds wiped, yet with their lives mercifully spared.
I bet Terry would most likely use that ultra-high-powered piece of hardware against Titan.

Seems like more trouble than it's worth for an assassin. Killing is much easier.
It would make for a great boss battle.

Curare's method of destroying the League of Assassins, to become the best assassin left in the world.
Yeah, it would.

It just seems like if she wants that title, she can't leave any of her targets alive, no matter if they're brain dead. They could come back to normal months or years later and it wouldn't be too much of a stretch as to why. I mean this universe makes the impossible happen all the time.

Actually. The effects of the mind-wiping agent are permanent, so it's basically erasing the person each member of the League of Assassins they are, leaving no memories of their pasts remaining.

Death is worse and people in comics have come back from that. Plus that's not a 100% solution, superhero writing gives many alternatives to any problem including this one. Let me show how mind wiping isn't a permanent solution.
- They digitize their memories for such a case as this
- Magic is used to restore their consciousness
- Clones are created in case someone kills the entire league (first method used to give them memories)

Owyn-Ross In reply to Zigwolf [2017-01-25 02:51:16 +0000 UTC]
But there are barely any magic users in Neo Gotham City. Curare can just as easily take out the League of Assassins' cloning machine and memory digitizing machine, and knows for a fact that the League of Assassins doesn't have any magic users.

Zigwolf In reply to Owyn-Ross [2017-01-25 04:58:08 +0000 UTC]
Yeah but The League is not centered in Neo Gotham, there's a whole world outside of Neo Gotham for the League to seek and exploit magic users. Well, The League's not dumb, the first sign that Curare is after them, they'll relocate any important assets (including clones) to new locations.

Owyn-Ross In reply to Zigwolf [2017-01-25 04:59:42 +0000 UTC]
And Curare will track down their assets to the best of her ability and then carve them up.

Zigwolf In reply to Owyn-Ross [2017-01-25 05:14:21 +0000 UTC]
Yeah but they could be anywhere in the whole world. By the time she does find them, the clones could be active and a new League is ready to take her on.

Owyn-Ross In reply to Zigwolf [2017-01-25 06:25:19 +0000 UTC]
She doesn't care how many clones she'll take on, she'll definitely track any cloning facility the League of Assassins have set up across the globe, and take them out one-by-one, with every resource she has at her disposal.

OK, I'm getting a little tired of this and I was hoping not to play this card but "This is my version" I'm allowed to take it any way I want it to go and right now Curare is not after The League of Assassins to destroy their minds, she is given a mission to redeem herself in their eyes by bringing them the "Head of the Bat". This version is not following every bit of history that she had in the series.

Owyn-Ross In reply to Zigwolf [2017-01-25 09:16:42 +0000 UTC]
Well, if she fails, she'll be the League of Assassins' target, unless she wants to turn the tables on them and kill them all one by one before going after Terry.

Zigwolf In reply to Owyn-Ross [2017-01-25 22:32:37 +0000 UTC]
Most likely, failure a second time means no support from the League and should she try to use their resources, that's theft from the League in their eyes and is punishable by death.

Zigwolf In reply to Owyn-Ross [2017-01-27 04:18:08 +0000 UTC]
Well Deadshot can work but Deathstroke would be dead by the time Batman Beyond started since he's an old man in the present, Lady Shiva is a possibility too since she's a member of the league and she'd be an old woman and you do not f#$% with old people who used to be assassins.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Owyn-Ross In reply to Zigwolf [2017-01-27 05:54:47 +0000 UTC]
Well, Deathstroke's healing factor might have slowed his aging down, and not even the march of time dulls his skills. Basically Deathstroke is a mercenary for hire, and not just an assassin. That, and he's a member of the Suicide Squad. Same goes for Deadshot. Lady Shiva probably may have retired, but her training never goes away, even at her age.

Zigwolf In reply to Owyn-Ross [2017-01-27 09:35:25 +0000 UTC]
Well let's look at Slade's age, he went into the Korean War at 16, the war started at 1950, so we can assume Slade was born in 1934 which makes him 83 years old now. Now he took his super soldier serum in the Vietnam War so let's go with 1961 as the year he changed. So he was 27 when he became superhuman, but he has grey hair in the present so he doesn't age as slow as other people with healing factors do. So I'd assume that with the right math he's aged 42 years making him biologically 70 when he's really 83. Or maybe I'm overthinking this.
Well the League would have money to spend to hire Deathstroke and Deadshot could eventually escape the Suicide Squad, he did it before and got Waller back in the best way youtu.be/_qoEye4Wmko?t=34s
Yup, Shiva's a huge threat in her prime and with age, she's gained the illusion of weak old lady and she'll strike you down before you have a chance to stop her.

Slade might be well aware of Curare's battle strategies and techniques and may have a counter for everything she could throw at him.
Let's just say Lady Shiva has left the League of Assassins, knowingly aware of Curare going after everyone in it.

Well if he's as every bit of a master planner as his Teen Titans animated series version is then he might surprise her.
It seems weird that a warrior as dedicated as her would just leave the League of Assassins, she might want to die instead of be considered a coward and bringing dishonor to her name.
