Adopted children of Doctor Moore O. and trained fighters who defend him from those that want the doctor for his knowledge.

7 years before the DNAftershock, Doctor O. was in Japan researching local animals to add to his "Hybrid Project" when he came upon a sight that broke his heart. Four boys, fraternal quadruplets, who were 12 years old and on the streets begging for money while in tattered clothes. Moore gave them a large sum of money and saw them retreat down an alleyway. When Moore followed them, he found the boys living in back of an abandoned book store. When he approached the boys, they almost fled until Moore let them know that they didn't have to live like this. If they joined him, then they would never go hungry and they would always have warm beds to sleep in at night. When the eldest brother asked why a foreigner would help them, Moore told them they reminded of how he was as a kid trying to live on the streets at a young age before a college teacher found potential in Moore and offered him a chance for a better life. The brothers sensed no deceit in the doctor's story and accepted his offer. One by one, they introduced themselves from the oldest brother to the youngest. There was Lao, Ryo, Daisuke, and Makoto.

The brothers joined the doctor and made their way to America. Once there, they lived the lives kids their age deserved. They grew up with Moore and found his experiments with animals to be amazing, but couldn't make heads or tails of the genetic research behind it. What they specialized in was parkour and acrobatics. Living on the streets meant that they had to get creative with sprinting away from the police and muggers. Moore saw potential in this and brought in experts to not only perfect their moves, but to also teach them advanced combat. Two years before the DNAftershock, Moore transformed himself into a Galapagos Turtle and his sons were amazed. Moore offered to change them as well and they all accepted, but were not prepared for what they would change into. The Yoshimura Brothers became rat hybrids and Ryo, Daisuke, and Makoto voiced their disdain, but Moore scanned the brothers' biology and found what they were capable of. Their rat tails gave them increased balance, they could go an entire week without water since their bodies extracted more water from the food they consume than humans do; with their muscles and lungs, they could swim for days and hold their breath underwater for 32 minutes, and with their denser teeth they could chew through concrete and with enough time the y could make their way through steel. '

After Moore showed his new form to a fellow scientist, Weston Trexler, he was taken by Trexler for a sinister plan that the younger scientist had in mind for Moore's research. With their father gone, the brothers made their way to Omina City, where Trexler Industries was located. The last place their father was seen. For months, they patrolled the city and discovered stray Hybrids at certain areas, some of them were employees of Trexler Industries. One night, the brothers saw an explosion at a Trexler Lab and witnessed many Hybrids escaping out into the city, they even found and retrieved their father, who escaped with the other hybrids. Taking Moore to their makeshift base in the sewers, the brothers listened to what Moore went through as a prisoner and what Trexler had planned for his hybridization research. Moore asked his sons to retrieve some equipment around the city so that he could find a way to stop Trexler and his plans to unwillingly mutate the entire world. During their patrols, the brothers saw many Hybrids and even found potential allies in a group of teenage hybrids that banded together to fight some of the more villainous ones.

Daisuke built many tools for the brothers to defend themselves with. They have stealth suits that blend into darkness, goggles with scanning and communication capabilities. But Lao got something a bit more advanced, a set of advanced contacts that Daisuke got from one of his nerd friends, the occult enthusiast and advanced optometrist, Dr. Boraz. In their arsenal, Lao has an advanced sword, Ryu has tonfa guns, Daisuke has a stun staff, and Makoto has a set of nunchaku with hidden blades.
