My reimagining of Sonic and Sonya's brother, Manic the Hedgehog.

Manny lived in a village right outside of the Green Hill forest with his parents, Jules and Bernadette, his siblings, Sonya and Maurice, and his Uncle Chuck. Manny was the middle child and as such would strive to stand out from his older sister and younger brother. One day, when the siblings were playing near the local caves, Maurice was playing in the local caves and fell into a cavern. When Manny and Sonya found Maurice later, he was faster than before, a lot faster, maybe the fastest thing alive and he was releasing electricity from his body. Luckily for Manny and Sonya, their parents were more amazed at Maurice's super speed that they managed not to learn how careless the older siblings were.

Later that night, Robotnik's robots descended upon the hedgehog village and started destroying it in pursuit of a particular target, which seemed to be Maurice. Manny and Sonya were separated from their parents and uncle and hid inside a ruined hut until morning came and silence was all that greeted the siblings as no one else was around. Not knowing where everyone was, Sonya had to make the hard decision of taking Manny and trying to find out where their family and fellow villagers were at, so they left in search of their missing family. What's worse is that if they waited ten more minutes, the siblings might've met up with Maurice who escaped his robot captors and returned to the village as well to find it totally empty.

For years, Manny (now going by Manic) and Sonya had to fend for themselves and as they got older, they took on certain jobs. Manny had to become a scammer and Sonya became a thief, sometimes working with the white bat thief, Rouge. Manny and Sonya would seek out any info on where their hedgehog family were at and heard some clues leading to Eggman Land. Manic tries to put on a happy go luck facade with reckless he is and how much parties but deep down, he wants nothing more than to get back his family and go back home to their village. When Manny and Sonya reunite with Maurice (now going by Sonic), Manic can't hold it in anymore and tearfully hugs his long lost brother.

Manic is a skilled fighter and musician who uses his suave charisma to get himself out of many troubling situations.
