Description

Hailing from the Water Colonies, Sokka has had a hard life with being the son of the Southern Lord of the Sea, Hakoda. He and his sister Katara were forced to carry on a fake way of acting in real life. The siblings lives took a turn when their father openly opposed the most powerful businessman in the world, Ozai. This action meant retaliation in the form of the death of Hakoda's wife and Katara and Sokka's mother, Kya. This action would not stand and Hakoda after finding out that murder was the least of what Ozai was up to, built together a group to take down Ozai since they could not do it by normal means. This left Sokka and Katara growing up without either of their parents at such a young age.

Years later, Sokka and Katara moved from the Water Colonies to the Fire Metropolis. Sokka and Katara started to split, living their own individual lives like Katara staying out late at night. Meanwhile, Sokka was going to college and it was there that he met Yue and instantly fell in love with her. In the months to come, Sokka and Yue would start a relationship despite Sokka being warned by Yue's father, Councilman Arnook, that things might be hard or Sokka with dating the daughter of a political figure. Sokka vowed that he would do whatever it took to make things work with Yue. Yet, tragedy struck when Sokka and Yue were out on a date and Ozai's right hand man, Zhao, was commanded to kidnap Yue in order to motivate Arnook to vote on city matters that benefited Nizos Industries, but in the struggle to take Yue and fight off Sokka, Yue was accidentally stabbed and died. Sokka would grieve and blame himself for not being stronger to defend Yue and in doing so, he would seek to take fighting lessons at the Kyoshi Dojo. It was there that he would meet his teacher, Suki, who showed Sokka no mercy.

In the weeks after taking fighting lessons, Sokka found out what Katara was doing at night, which was dressing up as the hero, The Painted Lady. Seeing that Katara and her friend, The Blue Spirit, were going after Ozai, Sokka wanted in and after proving himself in a fight between Katara and Blue, he was allowed to join them after he crafts an identity for himself. Taking a replica of ancient Water Tribe armor from the Fire Metropolis Museum and gaining weapons from Kyoshi Dojo, Sokka became The Tribesman. He would fight villains and eventually find a way to take down Ozai and the Inferno Trinity, who always seem to be around whenever Sokka, Katara, and Blue are near anything having to do with Nizos Industries. Sokka has even come across a new hero called the Kyoshi Warrior who is very familiar to him. The face paint covers her identity, but her voice and moves are very familiar.

Sokka is now skilled in hand to hand combat and uses a variety of weapons while in combat. Weapons such as a meteor sword, a battle club, a boomerang, and a compact shield.
