Not entirely. There is always drawing individual components and then shopping it in. Just a matter of figuring out what components needed to be redrawn.

Ah; i got it!
Bloke's head and shoulders, redraw and have him leaning back. facing her, but leaning away.
His right leg (our left) knee to foot visible, leg bent and raised as if running to the left.
His left foot , only foot visible at its present location.
This way it looks like he's carrying her and running fast as he can with a heavy load towards the left side of the foreground.
