five heads are better than one
Rendered in 3D Studio Max. Photoshop work over 2 hours.
The Dragon was rendered 5 times and stitched together to make the 5 headed monstrosity u see before u.
all the textures for the skulls were added freehand in Photoshop
the planet and sky were created in Photoshop.
I fixed a lot of the lighting and shadow issues in Photoshop, mainly due to the 5 renders casting different shadows on the body but only using one body render so had to add them all back in.

It took me ages to get all the lighting right in this scene *gah* and I still don't think its right
I was going to add in lots of colour bu I really like the muted subdued and ultimately dark feel to this piece. The blue of the eyes really stand out for me in this. Real evil, just the way five headed demon serpents should be
copy reduced in size from print resolution original. Print to come soon.

i love the skulls in this piece, dragons dont seem to 'fit' might just be becuase everything eles isnt as sharp

This is simply exquisite. There are not many well-done five-headed dragons out there, and this is certainly the most polished one I have seen. Excellent work with this one.

stunning image zilla, the compastion is excellent. i think the lighting is fine, i love images like this where the dark spaces aren't empty but filled with images cunjoured up the parts of the pic you can actually see...if you get what i mean
the texturing on the dragon is very well done, and like you say those blue eye add so much to it. i thin kmy fav part of the whole image are the skulls tho, the way there layed out and the brush work is excellent.

i love it. but i've one thing to point out. try removing the pupils and whatever from the eyes. make them plain blue... looks more evil
