I've been playing around with 3D Studio recently trying to figure out how to enhance my abstract skills and I've worked through a neat way of producing 'generic spikey floaty things in space/water' rather like my Amnesia WP. This is the result of one such ramblings.Nothing new really, I was hoping to produce something a little more 'ground breaking'. I guess I'm trying to find a style that I'm happy with and I can call my own, but in a genre which is so heavily populated I guess I'm not submitting anything particularily fresh. Hopefully my blend of post-render Photoshop work givs it a flavour of its own.
Not 100% sure about the colours, but still makes a good desky.
Basic mesh and render in 3DS. All SFX and lighting, smoke etc in Photoshop.

sorry for the work done , but i really prefer this one 
and it cost me much to say that as i simply hate the green color .
but that version seem more "clean" and got a better feeling of depth ( well at last that s what i feel 
and maybe too , it looks more realistic in those tone , you know like in those SF cover books , i expect to see some half nude girl with a gun holding one of those stuffs and ready to shoot

I must say that the dragons of yours are unique... If you are searching for your style maybe try to combine them with 'spiky-things-floating-in-space' works... I can even imagine such pic but in my opinion it should be more 'dark-style' than your previous dragon renders...

Reminds me of deep-sea creatures somehow.... Like a floating aenemone mixed with sea slug. Very cool
