Fellow Ghostbusters fan, Babs has developed quite an affection for a certain Peter Venkman (RGB), who just so also happens to be one of my all-time favorite characters as well
She wanted a shot of Pete harassing Layton as his newest apprentice and Oh my God I could never ever say no XD I think Layton would much prefer Egon's company. And I also think a Professor Layton and Ghostbusters crossover needs to happen for real because oh my God all the twisted supernatural nonsense and crazy science and adorable men and just... two of my most favorite series' ever <3

Turns out the ghosts are not ghosts but they are delusions created by the mind in response to a hallucinogenic gas released by a money-grabbing company whose boss is Don Paolo's brother in a quest to oust tea in favour of coffee. Oh, and the employees are Haiti-style zombies.

I can see Ray being an enthusiastic assistant for Layton, especially since he's pretty much a big kid with a science doctorate in the cartoon series.
But can you imagine Slimer as Layton's assistant? There will be a handful of puzzles that will be solved because Slimer's solution is to simply eat all of the cookies being used in an elaborate setup or logic puzzle, and the crazy part will be that it actually works in a "cutting the Gordian knot" sort of way.
