I'm not sure if you're accusing me of copying your art or not, but I can assure you that I'd never seen that piece before ever, so the similarities would definitely be a coincidence. Though, I've seen LOADS of "stacking character" art before, so I suppose it's not uncommon. Hope that makes you feel better.
As for the art itself, I think you did a great job, it's very cute! I'm not a big Potter person (though I love the books and movies!) but I can still say it's totally adorable

LOL No way was I accusing you! XD LOL! I was just surprised when I saw the thumbnail and I was like, "What?" XD I think it's just a similarity in the composition, but, again, I like yours far more. (And sorry if it looked like I was asking for you to comment on my art; omg, so embarrassing... I didn't mean for it to sound like either of those things! It just caught my eye and I had to comment. T_T;; Sorrryyyy...)
But my goodness, I love your Layton art; you capture the characters so well - particularly Layton himself, who I find quite difficult to draw. <3 Makes me wish you were doing a fancomic! ;3

Oh no worries, apologies on MY end if I misconstrued it! It's just that 99.9% of the time when someone makes a comment like that to me, it's because they are trying to accuse me of "stealing" their stuff. Which I would never ever do
Thank you for the kind words on my Laytonania though, it means a lot! I love these characters, and don't worry; Layton is DECEPTIVELY simple. He's actually very difficult to draw and get RIGHT because of his simplicity. One false line and it's over, haha. It took me awhile to get used to his design, and even longer to adapt it to my own style.

Oh no~! XO That's awful if people are accusing you of copying... ;3; Never happened to me yet, but maybe I just have to draw more, first. But seriously, I've heard of two AUTHORS writing the same story at the SAME TIME with veeery similar characters and through their writing groups they found out about one another. It happened that they just separately came up with many of the same ideas. I mean, illustration is an easy medium for that to happen in - it's not terribly uncommon with the global village of the internet...
Wai~! After your comments I tried to break down his design a bit more and my Layton has been improving drastically! Thank you so much for your enthusiasm! I think looking at the 3D Layton is very helpful too; I'm going to endeavor to use my Revoltech Layton to my advantage when I'm having difficulties. ^_^ Thanks soooo much. <333

PS: Understand that Layton and Luke is the ONLY FAMILY that she has now, and she has to look for them, in case that they suffer an accident while they're "investigating". What would she do if she loses them? She'd be so sad, even more sadder than when she lost her true parents...
PS2: Plus, she helped a bit in the investigation by solving a few of the puzzles! And also, she gave Don Paolo a reason to help the Professor!
