I was sifting through chapters because I wanted to recreate a certain scene(more on that later), and came across this one instead. It was so emotional when I first read it, I wanted to recreate that. I hope you like it. It's based off of 's fanfiction Little Moments . I won't give away spoilers, but it's just... perfect. I seriously encourage you to read the series if you haven't.ΒNote: Please don't start any shipping wars, let's keep everything peaceful.

You really have amazing talent. Not just drawing skills, but also putting emotion in your images. This so perfectly captures what they were going through in that moment, and how Ben supported Gwen even through his own grief.Β

This scene was one of the many that was so notable in Little Moments. Not only was it such a significant moment to Ben and Gwen that helped drive them and their relationship even further in the story but it was a much much better implementation of Ken compared to how Alien Force portrayed him in the ONLY EPISODE that he ever appeared in and I felt that he wasn't even that good of a character in the show. Felt quite unnecessary really. Hell, Ken made even less of an appearance in Little Moments and yet shadows59 was able to do so much more with the character than what Alien Force did.
It's great seeing this scene visualized with such great quality. It perfectly captured what Ben and Gwen went through.

Lili had Sandra and Frank to hold onto. The grandparents...were there...
But nobody paid Ben and Gwen any real attention. Not when Lili was hurting so much. They had to be there for each other, to come to terms with what had happened, what they had both lost without ever knowing it had been possible.
Through their pain and mourning, the two found each other again. They had been at each other's throats before Grandpa got the call. But afterwards? Afterwards, Gwen needed him. And Ben was there for her. He always was, when it was important.

I read it a while ago, but I remember it very well. The scene in the story is so powerful, and this image is just as powerful: the baby crib, the stuffed animal, the mourning attire, you choose all the right visual elements to capture the essence of the scene without using any words. YouΒ made me feel what I felt then all over again now. And of course, there's beauty in it too, the beautiful bonding between the cousins that went through this tragedy together, and of course, the fanart itself is absolutely gorgeous and amazing (like everything you do!)
