I've decided that attempting to create a species swap au comic for Invader Zim is in my best interest.

Dad: The basic family man with your average 9-5 office job. The only odd thing to note about this man is his quite noticeably missing arm and scar. He says he lost his arm in the war. Which one, he won’t say, although he is known to have random panic attacks relating to this. It’s best advised you stay away from him when this happens.

Mom: She’s a very frugal stay at home mom, insisting on shopping at thrift shops and buying what ever is cheapest (dad, of course, manages to sneak some extra money into the shopping budget). She really does try to be a good mom, but she kinda SUCKS at cooking and cleaning. The new dog doesn’t help much either.

Tallests Membrane & Bitters (another clumping together because of reasons): Here we have what many would consider the two extremes of Irken dictatorship. Tallest Membrane is an Irken of science, and greatly encourages the advancement of any and all technologies for the greater good of the Irken Empire. Tallest Bitters really couldn’t give a crap about any of that, so long as everyone in the galaxy comprehends that they are utter wastes of space at complete disposal to the armada. This volatile mix works much better than you would expect, the two opposites balancing each other out for the most part. Based on this headcanon [link] , the color scheme for the empire this time around is black and white! Hence explaining, somewhat poorly, why some Irkens, such as Dib, have white gloves instead of black.

Steve Lorr (full name: Steve Lorr (yes I’m sticking to Steve and there’s NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT)): Mr. Lorr is the manager of the local McMeaties, and he’d like more than anything to just take a vacation. Financial troubles such as food and bills keep him from even considering such a thing. Not only that, but he’s got Tak and her little cat to look after, too. Anyone who messes with her, messes with HIM.
