There was really no point in giving someone a daily deviation just because it's 9/11. You don't do this for other tragedies, so what's the point with this one...

I appreciate the tribute to the 2001 attack, however my first impression on seeing the image was that perhaps this is a DD just because today is the anniversary of the WTC collapse, and not because of any other reason.
I think that might be what is upsetting people, but I have no real personal problem with it myself.

Stock as a DD... I dunno- there's no feeling to it because of that.
It is a nice shot though... grats on your DD

Nice shot.
Congratulations on the DD.
I know someone who lost her father in 9/11.
This day is never going to go away.
Never forget.
And stop the damn complaining you rude pigs.

Today, in American Culture, we watched two video slide-shows which held pictures and videos from 9/11. A few students cried, understandingly. My eyes filled with tears by the time video footage of the buildings collapsing was on the screen. It's an American duty to remember all of the poor, innocent men, women, and children who died that day, in the World Trade Center buildings.

good picture man, may all of the victims that day rest in peace and the ones responsible get their divine punishment

stop fucking complaining about this being a DD people. it doesn't need to be a 'erfectly clear photograph where the dissolving strands of convuluting emotion are portrayed through a specific use of color'.
this is the pick of the day, a daily deviation is a staff favorite, and it's suiting and memorable not to mention a good tribute for the day. if you don't like it/want to comment on a 'better' 9/11 piece, fuck off and have a party.
i'm sure i'm not the first to be offended by said comments.
beautiful capture of light, and i'm not even into photography.

I think it's beautiful. It doesn't matter if the picture is good. Someone took this picture and it's an appropriate addition to today's DD.

Sure its good. But I don't like that its so distorted. Chill with the ISO rate and use a longer exposure instead.

People, arguing about whether a DD is deserved or not isn't effective.
Well, it's stock. I think it's featured so that people use it and make some 9/11 manips.
Furthermore, it's a good stock photo! Not everyone would share this. Well done mate.

Why is this a DailyDeviation? It's a noisy, night shot that lacks composition...
The guy who posted it, has been offline almost one year...

specially today, it is a good photo, many innocent people died a day like today,, for some stupid political or religious problem.
and all photos don't have to be clean or have a good composition to be good,, there are many things to look at in a picture,, plus all those things vary a lot depending on who is looking at them.

the reason why it's a DD cause it has a meaning about it. all photos dont have to be a perfect shot with meanings in it.

mh, i don't agree with the DD, just because it's 9/11, and this pic represents it.
i think there are tons of better pics in dA to put as DD, even for 9/11

it's not my problem, i just disagree with this choice, even more because there's no explanations like every DD had.
btw don't mind, nobody can like everything

Even gone, the towers remain in the minds of the millions of people whom saw them fall and in the hearts of all those that lost family and friends deep within.
Its a very touching picture, it almost looks like the lights are one until you close. But the towers did become one that day, this shows how they remain one even after everything has been cleaned from Ground Zero.
