This is the secret drawing of my dark 2008 calendar; [link]
It's been a very long project, I started the drawing in the summer of 2007 already. The drawing is rather big and I had serious troubles not getting the strong red background smeared into the angel wings. It kept happening because I wasn’t patient and clever enough to do the background afterwards It was some struggle to remove it without erasing too much of the wings. In the end I got most of it away and the result went okay. But I really had my fights with this one.

I wanted the drawing for my calendar to be a special angel. The scan lost a lot of details in her skin and angel wings as well as her hands, they look almost non shaded here. I am a bit sad of this as it has so much detail in real life.
In the end I feel happy with the outcome of the drawing.

Made with soft pastels and charcoal.
