Yeah, I like Yumi, even though some people think she took over as the protagonist of the Senran Kagura series since the developers love her character.

Well, Yumi never took over as protagonist nor will she ever since the series was focusing on making alternate/side stories as well as rivalries between the main characters. Though Yumi and Miyabi were initially intended to replace Asuka and Homura as the heroine and rival respectively, the developers knew they couldn't replace the two characters who started "Senran Kagura". So, they settled on making Yumi the main poster girl.

Yeah, I suppose it may have something to do with Asuka being made as a generic type heroine that her "Deep Shadow" mode looked too simple. Whereas Homura's "Crimson Lotus" mode, Yumi's "Ice Queen" mode and Miyabi's "Divine Judgement" mode all look pretty cool.

Yeah, I just feel as though her final form could have a little more to it. Not like a DBZ Super Sayian, but just something to make her stand out more. I mean its really just her with her hair down with a green aura surrounding her.

True. They made Asuka seemingly more simple with simply powered up weapons. Homura busts out her "Engetsuka", Yumi generates a sword out of ice and Miyabi's sword transforms into a large seven-branched sword.

I think its a bit over the top. Its nice design/idea for Asuak's transformation, but something earth themed since her abilities earth elemental.
