Aww, very cute And I like the colouring too Only things, I could say that her ears looks a bit like knifes, and her left hand is a bit strange too, as it holdes that staff. But overally, I think it's good

Overall, I really like the concept of this and you've pulled it off pretty well. I love the style of face you used - the long nose and round eyes, very cute. She reminds me of a fragile little doe . Especially with those soft colors. Now onto the critique.. well first of all a little thing that is bothering me a lot, but you probably just accidentally overlooked (I do things like this all the time) but only one of her eyebrows is colored. Anyway, the only major problem with this is her left leg - or the one on the right of the picture. It makes it look as if her knee were bent backwards behind the other leg. How to fix it - well, do you use some sort of 'skeleton' before you start drawing? I always draw lines for bones and small circles for joints, it helps a LOT! If you don't already do some form of this, try it, you won't believe how much your anatomy will improve! Also, I don't know if you're going for realistic anatomy (It bugs the hell out of me when I'm going for something different but pretty and people tell me it's wrong...) but this is pretty close. In general, if you wanted it to be more realistic, I would just make her head slightly smaller. Actually, scratch that - she's seven 'heads' tall and that's just about perfect. Her neck is slightly long, but if that's the look you were going for, more power to you! Also - if a person were standing the way she is, their ribs would be sticking out a little bit if they were that thin. I can't think of any way to tell you how to draw ribs as they can be tricky, but look up some reference, you'll get used to it. Now onto the coloring. It looks as if you're pretty good at shading skin. It's very light, though. If you want something that will pop out more at the viewer, shade darker. It seems very scary at first, but don't let it. And don't color on the original sketch! I always trace the drawing onto another piece of paper that is better for colored pencils. Or if you want the best, use carbon copy paper and put it on some cardstock and then color. Good luck!

this, by far, is the best out of the ones I've commented on up to now. the head looks right the outfit is nice the colors work well..... the only major grips I have are her lef (the picture's right) foot is bent in an unusual angle and the hand on that same side looks a bit off.... otherwise very nice.

The colors all compliment each other, it looks like it is print quality actually. I live how the dress is done, as well as the face and hair. Overall great job jess, you could probably make good money selling some of your stuff as prints.
