Emma outgrew our Galaxy. There is a huge difference in size here and even greater yet to come ^^ Basically Colossal Kate is less than a mere speck to Emma almost as much as Earth is insignificant compared to Kate

Shouldn't the insert be at the centre of the galaxy and with Kate actually visible? She is at the centre of the galaxy, and for the previous to be visible Kate'd be maybe ~1/10th the size of the galaxy.

I know she's tiny compared to Emma, silly! I'm just saying, that as Kate is at the centre of the galaxy and we can see Earth- which is ~25 kly. This means that Kate is roughly 30 kly across- 3/10ths of the Galaxy's size.

Well, Kate's size is between 1 trillion km to 1 light year, while Emma is well over 1'000'000 light years tall ^^ Kate is a speck compared to both: Emma and the galaxy itself

For Kate to be able to have the Earth in the image, and being at the centre of the galaxy, she must be several kilolightyears across. Meanwhile, Emma is maybe a few gigalightyears.
