Sonic et Tails au lava reef zone (vision assez infernale de ma part.) de Sonic&Knucles sur mégadrive.Un de mes niveaux préférés. ^^
Réalisation : Photoshop CS2.
Temps mit : une semaine.

Yes, I agree with the rest here. Even though the perspective isn't always right, the lighting is rather amazing. Even in the game it's one of my favourite scenes - doing a fan art about it, is amazing!

Now that is awesome. Great details, especially the lava, and lighting. I love how you can even see Robotnik's gigantic Death Egg in the background like in the actual game.
Truelly one of the best Sonic fanart pieces I've ever seen. Absolutelly beautifull. (I must add Lava Reef Zone was my favorite level in "Sonic & Knuckles.")

Holy holy holy cow! The first thing that stands out to me, besides the vibrancy, is the heat. I'm starting to sweat just looking at this. 
So I feel like I can't even say anything to justify this picture. Your edges are so sharp and pristine and clear, it's amazing [pointing to the top of Tails' head and the top of Sonic's top quill against the background]. The minute details to this are simply incredible. I can even see the incredismall furs on Tails' head.
The shading is clearly wonderfully done on the characters, which is really soft even in the extreme lighting/shadows. You've got the edges down to a science, it's really interesting looking! [I'm used to bold outlines and all that.]
Another thing I love is how the vibrant characters + vibrant lighting + vibrant setting doesn't take away from each other. I'm floored that you managed to keep all these elements in here, exploit them, and still maintain a strong balance. I still find it hard to bring out the warm colours in a blue coloured character, so...
okaythough, my favourite part, besides how intense this scene is, are the crystals and the rocky walls on the left side of the picture. They are out of the way, they are colourful, they are intensely textured with so much attention to lighting and every single detail, they shine in the best way, and are incredibly naturalistic. How it glitters and shines, and has this slight purple element to it is just fantastic.
My other favourite part [besides Tails' highlights + shading + his rich orange fur vs. lighting] are the pipes at the top. The dust and heat that ate away at it and rust speckled on the metal is wonderfully done. Pipes seems to help push the idea of "heat" along when added to a heat-themed picture. Maybe adding to the industrial sense of it?
The lava down at the bottom is really threatening, of course, haha. Very accurately done! I could feel the heat just from the angry glow of the reds. The largest lavabubble at the bottom looks a little goofy against the rest of the lava. I like how you set apart the rock way at the bottom left corner from the lava when you're still using nearly the same colours, but you still separate them by sharpening the colours and edges. These simple things need to be more appreciated.
The movement in the background, from following the crystals up to the rusted pipes on top back down to the characters, is also a great thing that keeps the eyes constantly moving. I feel like I can't notice everything you put in there, and that makes me sad, but I'll likely keep staring for awhiiile...
Okay, I think I need to wrap this up. I think I'm now at a loss for words at this point. Absolutely fantastic picture. :'
