Shooting into the light is one of the hardest things to pull off, trolls tip for skate shots is to set exposure level for the brightest bit of concrete in front of your subject, and if your real lucky there will be enough reflected light to light the shadows on the face. Nice experiment

I coulda have used a fill flash but this was just a flash, and most of the time you meter for your subject to be exposed correctly by flash light and then underexpose your background by 1 stop.
