That was another brillant afternoon. To celebrate the day they came into one of the parks of the city. Emma was with her lover. They appreciated the return of the sun. They were lying on a bench in the belvedere.
But something was wrong on the side of her fellow. Emma finally asked what was going on. Thus, she learned that she forgot all about his birthday. The maiden blushed, confused. Her lover reassured her that wasn't a big deal. Nevertheless, Emma was filling herself guilty to have forgotten the day.
Later, as they were leaving the belevedere, Emma was always embarassed. Going down the stairs, she dropped one of her little shoes. She was already at the bottom of the steps when her fellow knelt to pick the shoe up.
Emma was smiling tenderly, gently tapping the grass of her tiny foot. As her lover proposed her to help to slip it, she shook negatively her head. She took his hand and asked him to forgive her another time.

They took the way back. Emma, walking with her lovely left barefoot. The shoe was preciously packed in the inside pocket of her lover's jacket, close to his hearth.
