Quick sketch in History while my teacher made us sob over a reinactment of the Fourth plane (United 63(?)), the one that managed to force the pilot to miss it's target.I remember, i was 10 years old and no one told us anything until we went home to our sobbing parents crowded in front of the tv, and even then, no one explained the importance of it until about a month later. Sux being 10.
Nope, that is not uniform regulation hair.

I LOVE this piece! I know it's old, but I love the style, and how well all of the various elements fit together to form one larger picture. The quote works really well to frame the picture, and I just love everything about it.

At that particular moment, I had just sat down to eat lunch(I was still in intermediate school then) when the former principal there stepped on stage and asked us to hold a moment of silence for the victims. A favorite quote of mine came from Winston Churchill: "Never before in the history of human warfare have so many owed their lives to so few." That also applies to the many brave emergency workers who made the ultimate sacrifice, and for that, as a former member of the TX-20015 Corps of Cadets, I pay the ultimate respect to each of those fallen heroes. "Gone but not forgotten: 9-11-01."

I was at home playing some video game when my friend Bill called me and told me to turn on the television. He and I sat on the phone together and watched the coverage and a minute later the second plane hit. That whole morning was surreal.
It's really interesting to hear people talk about it from your perspective of being a little kid when it happened.

Very touching sketch. I was only in 4th grade and the principal told all of the teachers to turn on their tv's and there was the image of the burning towers. I didn't quite understand what was going on or what had happened until later as well.
Thank you for doing art in memory of that life-altering day.
