This my first fan art of Pikachu. I was following along with Ry-Spirit ’s tutorial on how to draw Pikachu to earn a Pikachu Badge.

I wanted to practice more on rough and clean sketches, line art, and flat color filling and shading so I took advantage of that tutorial to go through with it. I did a good job with the line art. I also took some time to figure out where to shade using the background color. I added lightning in the background with one of the Electricity brushes from MiksKS’s Lights brush pack. I would recommend to try the brush pack out. I added lightning because helps to signify Pikachu’s element since it’s an Electric type Pokémon.
