As Brynhilde hit the platform, eyes fluttering shut, Kari and I finally made eye contact and squared off. We took strong, straight stances, the toned muscles of our bodies catching the light. Jesse and Coni continued their duel, Coni throwing many punches that Jessi confidently evaded.

"You're a little trouble maker, aren't you?" Kari asked, her eyes darkened by violent thoughts. I could tell she was already picturing me unconscious.

"I like to think of myself more as a problem solver!" I said, stepping in to move my blue glove beyond her purple one. She was my rival, and so I was looking forward to shutting her up and finally getting the edge on her.

On the other platform, women dropped like flies. Reyna lay unconscious, bathing in the sun, and Aura's behind was accentuated by the way she had fallen. Robin was knocked out by Laura and would join Lelia and the others on her platform. But all I was focused on was seeing Kari fall! I was going to get my revenge on the redhead! I wouldn't lose!
