This looks great.
Their stare is creepy, i like it.
And the background is perfect.

Wonderful. The background looks like a negative - I used to be fascinated by the weird look on film negatives, one thing I miss with digital photography. Clever the way the living girl has the skull hair ornament and the zombie girl the pretty bow. It sort of confounds expectations and is the sort of thing that would annoy the hell out of 'respectable' society. I'm a bit of an old rebel and think you need to shake up people's expectations once in a while.

Thank you for the awesome comment! I was going for negative with the background--I started out inspired by a passage in The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson where two of the characters are walking through the woods when the sky and trees all go negative. The painting turned into something else entirely along the way but the trees stayed the same.
