this is just a pencil drawing that i did on some cheap yellow construction paper. I took it into photoshop for a bit of cleaning. thats about it. its of h.r. giger's alien just in case you live on the moon.Related content

I noticed that the runner xenomorph in Alien3 was the only one with human-looking lips. The documentary behind that, Giger wanted a more "erotic" approach; a maximum security prison with inmates who supposedly took a vow of celibacy, and Giger decided to compromise that by making his "new" xenomorph "kiss" them, driving a tongue (which looks like the one from Species 2) through the mouth, and out from behind the head. It also had retractable claws sheathed between the fingers...
I can imagine that it pissed Giger off when they decided to go for a more bestial nature, gave it back the traditional second-jawed tongue, and scrapped the retractable claws.

I suppose it would have been hard to make the transition to an alien that was that different than the past two movies. The excuse for the differences that they ended up using was that it came out of a dog right?

Right. Well, the only 2 differences that one can see is that the runner is quadruped, and is missing those things on it's back.
