Nice restoration here , but why doesn't it have a dorsal fin like most other depictions of Shonisaurus? I'm confused.

Shonisaurus is a very early Ichthyosaur and most Triassic Ichthyosaurs do not really have dorsal fins as they started to become more common in their derived, later Jurassic decendents.there is no direct evidence of Shonisaurus having a dorsal fin but often people do like to specualte and put one on, but here i decided not to
