Description OMG Blockhead has now entered the real world!

Ok guys, this is the first of many artworks that I'll post from my school. This was my first project from our 3D class at MCAD on display in our school. The assignment was to pick two words that described ourselves and make a metal sculture that does not exceed 2 feet cubed. My two words were "distractable" and "creative" (wonder where the name of the piece came from... )

So yeah, I thought I could have done better on the welds and the floating orb in his hands, but suprisingly I got good feedback in the critique!

There's more 3D projects to come, so keep an eye out!

oh shoot, I forgot his name :S He's the guy with glasses, gray hair and likes to wear sweaters. he also teaches the furniture class.

XDD!! ohman, me too, haha... it took me forever to remember my teacher Mary's name last semester XD! yay writing for the arts!! and I'll really miss have dean as a teacher, he's so great XDD!! but 3D is NOT my calling XD hahaha

Hahahahaha! I love the look on his face as the giant butterfly flitters past. Just two little white spots make up his face, but the expression is unmistakable.

oh yeah, I guess I should have mentioned this
What's going on in this piece is that the figure is creating something in his hand. It is supposed to be a floating orb with just some of the surfaces showing, like if you took away whe water and inner layers of the Earth and left the crust. It is easier to make out in person, but I'll see if I can get a better picture of the orb.
