Description
Here we have a discussion between a scientist and an advocate of creationism.Yes I did draw the fossil record as an actual record. Don't laugh...I thought it was witty.

It pays to believe in things that are physical and therefor can be tested. Just recently I got into an email argument with two idiots on this site over creationism and why I don't believe in the supernatural. One of them admitted to being a 15-year-old half-wit and it instantly destroyed her entire premise.
The other kept trying to peg creationism as a legitimate science and that there is equal footing for both to coexist. I explained to him very clearly that until creationism can provide solid evidence that's not already explained through evolution and other natural sciences, and he stopped recycling the same tired BRATT arguments that creationists use too often, he might have a real leg to stand on. I even linked all my sources but it was obvious that he never looked at any of them. He just kept saying the same stuff over again.
It's no wonder Richard Dawkins refuses to debate Ray Comfort. These people really are idiots and nothing benefits humanity when qualified scientists debate them. And for those who don't know: BRATT is an acronym for 'Been Refuted A Thousand Times'.

You don't think it is ironic?

No, it isn't. The comic is spot on. Creationists and religiotards have NO understanding of evolution, or science for that matter.

Yes, bigotry like that is the irony, so you do get it.

It's not bigotry, it's the truth. I don't have anything against believers, but when it comes to science, most of them are hopeless.
What is ironic is your username. Unless turtle is a metaphor for "slow to get science"

You aren't allowing yourself to be neutral. I am choosing to see you as ignorant not arrogant, so I suggest you adjust your attitude before I change my mind.
You actually do "have something against believers," and it is funny that you deny it. I was just recently explaining the use of that fall back statement to a friend of mine. Your focus on the vocal majority of practicioners of faith instead of the body which it is derived from. Not understanding the origination of the ideas possessed by those whom you despise, you have built a trench around your opinion.
You also assumed that I fall into the group that I am defending, which serves to help you fortify your idea. I would of been happy to tell you that I am a scholar of all faiths and an avid realist, if you had cared to ask.
You are shortsighted. Learn to not classify people by the groups they belong to, so that perhaps they will do the same to you. In my field I have met many brilliant Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and Hindu scientists as well as atheists and my fair share of agnostics. I have also met quite a few bull headed citizens of each category.

In response to your response to me:
You apparently don't know the meaning of the words. My statement about arrogance or ignorance is a reference to the art of communication and has nothing to do with categorizing and it is not an assumption, it is me choosing to see you in a more positive frame than I would otherwise. It is amazing that I have to explain that. I was being satirical in my original comment, and I am not surprised that you weren't able to pick up on it. Saying that it is very bad that I attack one group but not another is hilarious and further proves my point.
I was demonstrating that your assumptions regarding me were incorrect and demonstrate a bias that you have towards people whom practice a faith. It was not an argument from any sort of high ground as a scholar by definition is one whom recognizes they are still learning.
I am sorry that you weren't willing to listen to me. I was honestly trying to have a civil discussion. You blocking me does not demonstrate the message that I assume you intended it too.

Funny that you say *I assume* and *I categorize* when you do the same thing in your second sentence. You are a hypocrite. Why did I assume you were in that position? Because of your original comment, which was from TWO years ago, stating: "This is what evolutionists actually believe!!" That is not only a very ignorant statement, it is a lie, and a very bad one.
I don't care for the people you've met, I don't care if you are a "scholar" or anything else, an argument from authority is a logical fallacy.
I don't care if you think I'm bull-headed or whatever. I just care you were dishonest and I called you on it. End of story.
