As with all my posted work this is a flame fractal created and rendered with Fractal Architect 2 on a Mac Mini and minimally edited with Gimp and/or Art Rage for artistic qualities. In addition a background has been added.Related content

Nice feathers! I have been trying to put together a bird with GIMPSHOP using fractal flames . I have the left and right wings, that was easy. I haven't been able to create anything remotely looks like a bird's body . Any ideas?

I don't try to create realistic forms; I just create lots of random thumbnails and take a thumbnail I like and fine tune it by creating lots more random thumbnails from that and so, selecting thumbnails always that are forming in the direction I am interested in until I end up with a lot of nice potentials to render. When I see something that suggests a title and I like the form I take it to Gimp after rendering and play with contrast and backgrounds.
