Description A lone Zhejiangopterus crosses a shallow sea near the shoreline of Cretaceous east Asia.  Unlike many pterosaurs, this species is not comfortable above these open waters, a drought has forced it to wander in search of suitable hunting grounds, preferably a nice floodplain or coastal marsh.  It has good reason to be nervous, mosasaurs prowl these waters and they are not above snagging low flying game.

Sorry about the sloppy Photoshop, I took this before I had any fancy software.    Pterosaur is roughly 1:20 scale and made of Sculpey clay with felt wing membranes.  Lurking mosasaur is the Carnegie Tylosaurus.

"But flying low brings its dangers. Hungry eyes watch him from beneath the waves."

Actually most pterosaurs were uncomfortable with water.

Do you mean in or above the water, because above the water is where a lot of pterosaurs spent most of their time.  I supposed Zhejiangopterus might be uncomfortable over open water because most ahzdarchids are thought to have favored more inland environments.

Above, and for the reason you said this one is uncomfortable.

That's a really nice piece to have made from clay! D:
