Description "Time? Never met him. Does he have a big brother named Ben?"

Here we have yet another Original Timeline Character, this time based in Wonderland! No doubt a good lot of you have seen the new Alice Through the Looking Glass trailer? Quite exciting, isn't it? Well, for any of you who DON'T know, the main villain of the new film is Time himself.

You see in the original novel, Time and the Mad Hatter used to be VERY good friends. (A favorite film adaptation of mine even mentions they served the empire together.) However, the March before the Hare went mad, Time and the Hatter had a dreadful quarrel and ever since then, he refuses to stop time.
In the 2010 Tim Burton version, Tarrant Hightopp mentions that he was obliged to so much as  kill Time waiting for Alice's return. He became quite offended and stopped all together. Not a tick ever since. I presume he won't be in the best of spirits when Alice returns once again!

Now then, what you see here is MY OWN version of Time.  I made this as another "What If" scenario in which Time was included as a character in Disney's original animated Alice in Wonderland.  I imagined this version as The Baron of Time. (The 'Baron' part obviously coming from his new portrayer...aka one of my least favorite actors.) I took note of the "served the empire" bit from the non-Disney adaptation I mentioned earlier. Yes, I know it doesn't make sense, but hear me out. I imagined that the costume that the new film would have would be somewhat...Colonial or something along those lines. As luck would have it, my prediction wasn't TOO far off. My version is not part clock though. My original idea was to name him "Baron Tempus von Fugit". But since Carroll never bothered with names, neither shall I.
I gave him a bit of a Napoleon complex to play on the phrase "Time is short." This ultimately worked in my favor as since I designed this character to be an "Anti-Mad Hatter", I kept the height and body shape and simply made some alterations. You may see slight traces of Captain Hook as well as Lumiere and Cogsworth in their human forms incorperated into the design. Some are more notable than others, but my biggest challenge was keeping true to the original style of the animated film. A feat which, if I may say, I've marginally accomplished. But the rest is up to you, dear viewer.

I don't think I'll be incorperating him into my upcoming Wonderland project...but I WILL probably find a way to have him meet up with Alice and the rest in some way shape or form. After all, the mannerisims and character I've tried to develop for this character are much too much fun to leave alone at THIS stage!

I do hope you like him. He took me a while and I kinda like how he turned out.

The character design however, belongs to me
