Yeah, that's the real sad part about Energon/Superlink, whenever they have to make the bots really expressive, they turn to hand-drawn, meaning apparently the CGI they used back then was not good enough that they could make it easily with just that.
They did make some improvements in Cybertron though, most notably in the episode where Lori and Wing Saber go chasing after Thunderblast. (Lots of expressions from both Override, Scourge, Wing Saber and Thunderblast.)
Cybertron definitely did a better job with expressions with CGI than Energon (and they never fell back on hand drawings, which further shows their integrity).

Yeah, especially looking at Transformers Prime, amazing graphics and animation as well as facial and body expressions. Plus the storyline, the characters, the music and the serious tone makes it such a treasure. Definitely one of my favorite Transformers shows
Another fave of mine is Animated, really funny, too bad they didn't launch the 3rd (and final) season, some of the episodes sounds interesting, like a Shattered Glass episode, and more on Sari's origins.
Seriously, why did they cancel that show?
At least, I think it was season 3 they cancelled...or maybe it was season 4, now I'm doubtful...

I'm sure it was a writing mistake, but it was Animated that they cancelled, not Prime, they completed Prime and continued with RID 2015.
And as for Bumblebee 2018, do you mean the movie Bumblebee? I haven't watched it, but have recently watched The Last Knight with my big brother.
Beast Wars is also one of my favorite Transformers shows. I think it was the first Transformers show to use CGI, and it's way more expressive and flowing than in Energon and Cybertron. It's also the show where sparks are introduced for the first time, and the show has so many memorable episodes, lots of comedy, action and drama. And the episode "Code of Hero" has been rated by many fans as one of the best Transformers episodes in the whole franchise.
