Description
I just got done building this bastard. The wooden case took 4 months to build. The metal front panel took 7 months to design. I went through about 20 - 30 different configurations and styles until I found one that would be useful in the long run as I add more things to it. The panel design was made with adobe illustrator, and printed out on seperate sheets. The sheets were photographed and gigantic negatives were produced. The negatives were used to burn the image into a silk screen. The emulsion was carefully washed out and I squeegeed the white ink onto the actual panel. This took 3 weeks. The electronics were a kit from PAiA, called the "Fatman" synthesizer. Building it took 3 months. I did it slowly so that I'd do it right. And that's about it. Now I will begin to add modifications. This synthesizer sounds wonderful.2 Oscillators
12 db filter with ASR envelope
Voltage Controlled Amplifier with ADSR Envelope
MIDI control
18 knobs so far.
3 Blink lights
Simple but sweet. I will make it more complicated because I love complexity.

I'd like to hear a recording of this as well. It's really awesome and well made. Zorgitron seems like a professional name as well.

Omg this is so awesome im allso gonna build a syntherzizer. It will be for a big school project, but im planning on building one from scratch, im not really sure about the exact architecture of it but it will difinitley be ninja.

WOW! From scratch? You must be an electronics genius. I definitely am not (I just pretend to be one), I just used a kit and made an awesome panel for it. Really, I spent 15 times more hours making the panel than the actual electronic parts. Goodluck! Tell me how it turns out.

I defineatly will
Im not a gebious im just studying electronics, but my will be a bit simpler, it will probably be a "organ like syntherzizer" like the novachord a syntherzizer witch one ocsillator per key.

That's awsome ! I have some Blacet gear that is nice too. A discontinued "Dark Star" Chaos/noise module
among other things-and I have a "Fourses"/Peter Blasser Chaos kit synthesizer I'm going to build soon when time allows.

Thanks! You're lucky to have a blacet. Those are nice. My synth is so basic...

Holy crap! That is so unbelievably awesome! Do you have audio of it anywhere? I'd really love to hear it in action!

I do have a recording. I can email it to you if you want. It's really lame though.
