I am amazed beyond belief. I really don't believe that this pic exists. I must be dreaming or something...

Even if it doesn't exist in the real world, at least on the internet it does.
Must be a Matrix of some sort.
Thanks.

Wwwwwwwoooooooow.
Okay, I love it when people do DP fanart in a more realistic style (not because it's realistic, but because it shows that they didn't just copy or reference from the show itself).
This is lovely. I love the expressions. And the detail! Wow!

Thanks.
I naturally like to use my own style for most things, however it's no secret that I do use references (self-taken photos, mirror...). That's pretty mandatory if you draw detailed muscle structures and want to get foreshortenings and suchlike right, but cannot concentrate on the subject full-day-wise.
But I agree there, I don't really see the point of just copying something line-to-line and posting it as your 'own creation'.

I-Whoa-DUDE! You're better than Stan Lee in the golden age of comic books! This goes BEYOND awesome! Man, comic book illustrators would KILL to get hands on your drawing style. You ROCK!
S'fave'd!

Ach, not in that league in a bzillion years, I'm afraid. I'm soooo slow with works like this (I think I drew this one well over 50h in total), and they need endless fixing and redrawing.
I've had my sources of inspiration for this particular style (Emiliano Santalucia, Enza Fontana, etc...), but I suppose it has started to live a bit of a life of its own in the recent times.

Beautiful! I love the expressions, especialy Danny's. And the way you drew Danny he really looks like a fourteen year old, a lot of the more realistic style DP fan art I've seen makes him look older or more in shape than he's described in canon. Also I really admire how you drew his hands.

zorm In reply to Manzanita09 [2006-08-22 19:18:38 +0000 UTC]
Man, I'm really behind with answering.
Er, Danny went through a lot of redrawing in this pic, and I'm not totally happy with him still. He did look a lot older/angular before I was pointed out I should edit him. I'd really need more practise with kids.
But, thanks. I particularly like drawing hands.
