Don't mess with Susan. She will beat the shit out of you. With a poker.

I LOVED the scene were the little boy looks at Death and says "Susan's got a fire poker. I thought all you bogies knew that."

He still prefers this to the blankie with the pink fluffy bunnies.

Methinks a certain bogeyman won't be making the same mistake twice...

Love it. The little details are great, and that plus the shading and the actual illustration make me so happy. It's nice to see a Susan portrait like this, 'cos it's the way I pictured her in the books. Really well done!

Nice portrayl of Susan there! And I like the way you did the shadows. I always pictured her face as more angular, though you've got the perfect facial expression there.

Your Susan looks awesome, and the bogeyman... well, I have no idea what he's supposed to look like, but this one is pretty cool

Hehe, that is Susan. You've perfectly captured the 'Do not, under any circumstances screw with this girl...especially when she's got a large and heavy metal stick'
Congrats!

That's awesome! I love Susan's clothing. It looks perfect for her world. And, yay! The bent bar! ("It's so realistic! She bends it for the children." XD ) Hehe, wonderful details.

Thanks.
Oh, there are some good ones in the DW guild. But the fandom artists are too few as-is; more would be needed.

No kidding. Come to think of it, yours was only the third or fourth gallery I'd ever seen with Pratchett fanart even in it. I shall have to go search some of these people out...
You're welcome.

The boogie man makes me laugh XD. Awesome job on it's anatomy, very nice pudgey belly but with emaciated rib cage.

Thanks.
Monsters are kinda fun to draw, because you can make them look as absurd as you want. There's some Paul Kidby -influence in this one, though.

*giggle* I pounced as soon as I saw the title on this piece. Well done - you've really captured the character and scene.

Thanks. There's some Kidby influence here, but pretty much what I imagined too before seeing his illustrations. Kinda like very skinny Orcs, the bogeymen. XD

Well, she did dislocate the shoulder of one them about at the beginning of the book. XD Drew this from memory, but now that I'm re-reading the book again, came across the former.

Oh really? I've never read that book. Just Mort and a few others. Loved Mort.

Yup. She works as a governess in that one, and constantly has to chase bogeymen out of the house she has a job in. Susan's become rather tougher and more sarcastic as of what she was in Soul Music, for example.
Hogfather's a really enjoyable read, though, if you get it into your hands. In my opinion the humor is rather much the best in the whole series. Mort was a really good one too, but I like the Susan books even more.

Hmm, well, I'll check it out. What's her first appearance?
I loved Mort because I can't get enough of Death. He cracks me up every time.
People like Rincewind and Twoflower...just don't appeal to me.

Soul Music. After that, she's a standard companion in the Death books (along with the Death of Rats and Quoth). The whole Death sub-series goes as: Mort - Reaper Man - Soul Music - Hogfather - Thief of Time.
I'm not all that big on the Rincewind books either, even though I've laughed my head off in many parts. I love the Witches & Tiffany Aching series, though, and trying to get more stuff read about the City Watch. The latters have been a bit scantily available in our bookstore.
