It would be cool to learn how to do this so I can show my models properly on deviantART as well as Sketchfab...

These are pre-rendered CGI images, Sketchfab uses real time 3D models so it unfortunately wouldn't be able to do this. Sketchfab already generates its own turntables from the models you upload so unless they add pre-rendered turntable support this is only possible as a set of images that cycle when the model is "rotated".

So he literally had to take screenshots of every single frame of animation from every single angle and made them all programmed to scroll when the mouse is dragged?
Why not just post to Sketchfab and have it do all that automatically? I'm both impressed and baffled.

Because these are pre-rendered high photon count scenes using the laws of physics and are not done in real-time. There is no way to render it at this quality using Sketchfab because they use real-time Physical Based Materials rendered using a Cook-Torrence BDRF blended together and not full raytracing engine like v-ray, mentalray, iRay, uses.

So in layman's terms, there's a program that does it automatically?

Yep, he uses Cinema4D if I recall and they have many tutorials on setting up a turntable rig.
