“-and so, Delphira was able to stop them before they even did it! With… her magic!” Callisto gently tugged at her whiskers to emphasize the word ‘magic’, concluding her story about the Four Elders. She then used the paw to retrieve a star candy from her opposite hand, tossing and catching it in her mouth, while Artemis trotted on all fours beside her, gazing with immense fascination.
“Woaahh! Can nyulop really use magic to see the future??”
“Yep! And when I grow up, I’m going to be able to, too.” Callisto smirked triumphantly.
“That’s so cool! You have to show me!”
Wandering Starsail amidst the crowd, away from the Create-A-Constellation stall, Artemis and Callisto were carefully scouting their next target. Pin-The-Tail? No, Artemis wouldn’t like the blindfold. The Dig-pit? Nope, already done it.
“How about the Treats and Delights stall?” Callisto rushed forward a bit and stopped to point out the direction of the booth to Artemis. “You get to make yummy treats there! I think they’re even better than the star candies we got!”
“No thanks!” Artemis denied, holding her head up, skipping past Callisto with a confident grin. “Me and Py already went there!” She giggled cheerily.
Callisto paused, and after a few paces so had Artemis, glancing back and cocking her head as if to question the nyulop.
“Who’s… Py?” Callisto asked.
“My sibling!”
“You came here with-?”
“Yeah!
“Tonight—??”
“Mhm!”
Callisto stood still, as passing finley took caution to avoid the pair. She was utterly dumbfounded by the realization that– ’, of course–! Artemis had come here with somebody!’ Maybe she could’ve believed that Artemis was just visiting on her own for the first time, but Callisto couldn’t believe it hadn’t even passed her mind to ask.
“Did they leave you here?”
“I dunno. There was a loud noise. So I ran away. But now it’s okay!
“Ah-! I didn’t know, I’m sorry!!” She gasped, dropping her candy as she grabbed her head with both paws. “I should’ve asked you if you came here with someone!”
“It’s okay!” Artemis cheered with a hop, blissfully ignorant.
“Ahhhh, Nooo-” Callisto shared a worried smile that fell as she dragged her paws down from her temples to her cheeks. “You’re sibling might be looking for you! They must be worried sick!”
“Yeah?” Artemis turned her head to the other side now.
“Ye-... Haha-” Callisto chuckled, now grinning concernedly, beckoning Artemis with one paw to follow her back the way they came. “Here. I know a good stall we can go to!”

“We’re here!” Callisto exclaimed, releasing the hand she was leading Artemis by to show off the red-lit Lost-And-Found stall. Swiftly dropping onto all fours, Artemis acknowledged the stall; eyes widening.
There they were… her sibling! They were propped against the stall next to their toadstool, talking to Dane with a distraught look on their face that she failed to notice.
Artemis’ ears and tail shot up recognizing her sibling’s mismatched aether ears and tan whiskers. The wide grin across her face opened to exclaim an enthusiastic “PY!”
The beige nyulop’s ears perked with the call, searching and focusing on Artemis, who’d turned back to Callisto to point out her sibling. She then quickly turned to face a troubled Pyrite, bounding up as if it were their casual visit.

Almost immediately, Pyrite fell to Artemis’ level, holding her and briskly inspecting her for injuries before pulling her into a tight embrace. All too fast for her to process. However, the tepid tears that hit her back felt all too familiar.
“Why are you-“ Artemis’ feelings of relief abruptly turned to those of worry, and her expression shifted to match.
Pyrite pulled away, placing a paw on Artemis’ shoulder, using the other to wipe away their tears. Their toadstool rested its head on their shoulder, face full of concern.
“I’m- I’m sorry,” they stuttered “, I shouldn’t have taken you to the balloon stall- I should’ve known you’d- I was so worried…”
Artemis whimpered an inaudible “, it’s okay,” lowering her ears. She was too distracted to think about it before, but she thought they’d probably been just as upset as she had, hadn’t they? Artemis’s stomach twisted imagining Pyrite going through the same thing she’d just been through.
The paranoia and overwhelming thoughts, just like the ones she began to have now.
“But I’m so glad I found you!” Pyrite smiled with teary eyes, snapping Artemis out of her brief spiral. “Are you okay? I hope you weren’t too scared-“
“I wasn’t!” Artemis shook. “I- was scared but…Then I found my friend!” She bounced while pointing at Callisto. “She helped me find you!” Artemis’ panic swiftly dissipated, returning to excitement. She smiled, glancing back to wave at Callisto.
Callisto was idly fidgeting with her lop ears when Artemis said her name. She jumped slightly, then shyly grinned and waved back at Artemis and her sibling. With Pyrite’s motion to come over, Callisto scampered over to introduce herself.

“Already making friends– way to go, sis!” Pyrite grinned and held out a thumbs up, now calmed. “Must’ve been through a lot, huh?”
Artemis nodded, and Pyrite chuckled. Rising to their feet, they glanced away, unsure.
“I know you’ve had a rough night, and I promise to take you home…but there was something special I wanted to show you first— If you’re up for it?” Pyrite bent down with a warm smile. “Your friend can come too if they want to!”
Watching Callisto nod eagerly, Artemis did the same. “Yeah!” Pyrite offered their arms to Artemis for a ride, but she declined. “No thanks! I think I can walk, now!”
“So independent now-!” Pyrite jokingly mocked, Artemis giggling, yet also puffing out her chest pridefully. “Alright then, crew! On to the pet stall!”

Summary - Artemis casually tells Callisto about her sibling while exploring Starsail! Callisto is understandably concerned, but Artemis hadn't known it was an issue at all-! Callisto takes the time to lead Arte to the Lost and Found stall, where her sibling is most likely waiting, and, lo and behold, there they are! Py spotted them approaching while worried and teary-eyed. They immediately crouch to Artemis' level, give a quick search for any injuries, and give her a big hug! They then go on about how they're sorry and how they felt bad for her getting lost when they're who brought her... Artemis had never seen Py so frantic-! She feels bad now, too... Py promises to bring her home, but they'd still like to show her the surprise if she's up for it!
