A kiriban prize for *Shehelet . I... got a bit.. hooked on drawing this picture and finished it faster than usually. But at least I got the first kiriban prize done now.As the title might tell it, the character in this picture is called Shabash. I was told that he's a barghest and it's cool since dark and angry things are really nice to draw, fufufu. I hope that the yellow light doesn't look absolutely stupid and off and that there aren't much anatomy flaws, though I know that there are a few. :C btw, horns and teeth are really hard to draw.

I'm drawing a barghest at the moment, so I looked around hoping nobody did the design I'm doing at the moment(and my hope is crowned with glory!

I love this pic. What tool did you use to detail the fur like that? was it smudge. (sry..I just aint that good at photoshop )

I used a very little brush and drew every hair on a layer on top of the base color. here's more [link]

Wow . . . this is one of those pictures that really captures the eye. The way you've shaded the fur, in particular, is just beautiful, you can see every time detail of the face structure, not to mention the texture looks very believable. Loving the color scheme for the lightning as well.

no huh! olen pimeällä näytöllä enkä nähnyt kuvasta juuri mitään, että piti vaalentaa työtä vähän photoshopissa - ei voi muuta sanoa taas kuin että tosi hieno työ! sarvet näyttävät tosin aika muovisilta, mutta olet hakenut niihin hienosti kolmiuloitteisuuden tuntua.

This is beautiful! I LOVE the eye shine, the horns as well. You did them very very well to say their hard to draw, along with the snarl The fur is beautiful, and the angryness is all kinds of awesome.

The teeth look just fine as teeth are shiny from saliva. The horns however look too plastic, I think they need a bit more texture and a tad less shine because the wolf looks fantastic, textured and real but the horns have almost no texture. Also, the wolf is dark and so is the primary basis of the painting and yet the horns are slogged on the opposite side of the scale - their brightness is drawing the eye away from the wolf.
Overall though it's brilliant!

wow!! that's beautiful!! and yes, ia gree, teeth adn horns are very hard, oh and huge claws, in my opinion. lol anyways, i LOVE the fur and i think teh yellow lighting adds sort of a flaming, warm heat, helping continue the angry expression given here.

Cool I will have to try it that way~ I haven't done much with fur but using those fur brushes, although convenient, doesn't seem to look as nice in the end.

Yep, there's a difference between the ready brushes and drawing line-by-line. But line-by-line is definitely at least worth trying : D and I see that you have already been using it with success ^^
