I guess I shouldn't assume. Paris is very multi cultural isn't it. OK we did meet some not so nice. In the metro my husband asked the ticket taker if she spoke english. He got a very rude no. But that was the only rude person we came across.

Then consider yourselves very lucky and hopefully you came across some nice Lebanese people in Canada as we have a large expat community there
