Great image. Great band for title inspiration (I'm assuming).

Congrats on this, and the rest of your work.

Beautiful work i now very little about the printmaking process, but I love the interaction between the figures and the subtle tones you've used This moves.

hey hon, I'm still trying to get my head round the whole print submissions, there's a small print of this etching but i want to get some bigger sizes but im not sure what im doing lol, i'll figure it out. By the end of the month I'm hopeing to offer limited edition etching prints via my website. I can pull about 100 prints from each plate before they become to squashed by the press, but these won't be as cheap as the DA ones.

Anyway I'm really glad you like the etching, it's def one my fav's as well.

I would love to have a limited edition print, of course; I'll just have to keep an eye out for those and hope they fit my price range. Your work is wonderful, and certainly worthy of the higher price.

I am so intrigued by this peice. I just love it; the movement, the subtle shades of brown in contrast to their bold burgandy dresses. It's just amazing. What inspired you to do this peice? What medium is it? How big is the original? How much would a print of this peice cost? Are there any available?? Hope to hear from you soon.

thank you, this is one of my fav pieces so I'm happy others are enjoying it as well. I was inspired by the song L'via L'viaquez by the mars vota hence the title. Its an etching, which means i took a metal plate, covered it with a chemical called hard ground and then using an etching needle [ie pointy stick of metal] i drew the image. Then its placed in an acid bath for around 40 mins and the image is burned into the plate, after all thats done you cover the plate with ink, then a sheet of wet paper and put it through a printing press and you get your image on the paper [thou in reverse] You can pull about 100 prints from each plate and then can all be the same or you can play around with different colours. in this one i painted the colours on the plate with a brush before putting it in the press, it takes a little longer but I'm really happy with the result. What the scanner doesnt pick up is that all the lines are slightly raised from where the press pushed them into the paper into the metal plate.

The image is about 9x6 but the paper is 11x15 as you need to leave loads of extra paper when pulling etchings, the paper must be soaked in water for 20mins before hand and then pinned on a flat surface with loads of pins so it dries flat so you gotta have the extra so you dont have to stick pins in the image area.

One of these prints I sell for around $15 as all the prints are printed on high quality printing paper [reves bk buff] and they are hand printed not computer print offs.

dang sorry if i rambled on in that reply, hope i answered all your questions
