OH LOOK I LIED. I'm kidding, this is prob last piece this week.

In DampClan, naming apprentices as warriors became just a custom to prevent confusion with other clans. They no longer held assessments, as Moiststar would pass them regardless of what happened. He sat in camp blissfully, planning his speech for Geckopaw.

Geckopaw trot through camp with a large frog in their jaws, a catch that was pure luck to stumble across. Eyes bright and gleaming, they set the slimy frog down on the fresh kill pile and then set for the tree where a large gecko hoard was. Sitting down, the brown apprentice started speaking to the creatures, stopping to listen at points in the conversation. As the geckos gathered, Geckopaw soon was surrounded by tens of geckos- big and small, bright and dull, long and fasssttt.

Moiststar sees that the apprentice can indeed catch a frog See, splendid. That validates me!
He gets on top of the rock he stands on to make announcements and smiles. This is all it takes to amass the clan, which surrounds and gazes upon his pleasant visage, sure to be holding secrets to share. Well, not sure, per say, as oftentimes he just sits there smiling for no reason and everyone just sits there and waits until he leaves.

Geckopaw noticed Moiststar on his rock, and so went to gather with the rest of the clan. The geckos had gone back to the hollow trunk of Geckopaw's hoard. Sitting down, the brown apprentice stared wide eyed waiting for something to happen. They sneezed.

"The signal! Geckopaw, you must rise! To me, young one!" Moiststar stood up startled by the sneeze. All eyes were on Geckopaw. A path to the leader cleared in the crowd as they all shrunk back, out of their way.

Geckopaw got up on command, eyes staring at Moiststar. Slinking up, the brown apprentice went through their clan mates towards the Dampclan leader.

"Geckopaw, you have reached it, you've reached the swamp of feelings. Wish you for the name the ground whispers?"
Moiststar always had a way with words.

Geckopaw just looked at their leader. A feather fell on their head. "ok."

"That is the one, you are Geckofeather." he said solemnly
the clan repeats the name back, chanting.

Geckofeather's eyes widened. They were now the best of geckos. "I'm thank." they replied, looking across the clan.

Geckopaw skit after a rather long gecko, slipping across the camp. "Come 'ere you smol child!" they called, bounding after the small creature. The gecko slipped under a rock, where Geckopaw followed. Frowning, the brown apprentice sat next to the rock, awaiting for the gecko to reappear. "I know you're in there...." they muttered, bob-tail twitching much like a rabbits. Slumping into a laying position, the apprentice continued to patiently await what he deemed as 'The Savior of All'.

Crowpaw woke up suddenly, her ears shot towards where Geckopaw was, she watched him
Crowpaw yawned and walked over to Geckopaw , looking at the rock . She studied the rock, looking at all sides and poking it

Stiffening, Geckopaw turned to Crowpaw. "Hey! This is my gecko! Go away! Scat! Shoo!" he snipped, covering the rock protectively as the gecko sped out from under. Eyes widening more than previous, Geckopaw screeched. Whirling around, they dashed after, landing face-first in mud along the way. "Noo! Come back!" the apprentice wailed, watching with teary eyes as his prize escaped up a tree.

Crowpaw tilted her head, confused
She ran over to Geckopaw and looked up the tree , trying to see where the gecko went

Geckopaw continued to wail for a few moments, sniffling. Turning to Crowpaw, they fixed the other apprentice with a puppy-dog stare. "Crowpaw- can you go get my gecko? He escaped and won't come down now."

Crowpaw looked at him,sympathetically
She nodded, then stared again at the tree , planning the best route up then down
Crowpaw walked to the tree then latched her claws on and climbed
She climbed to the center of the tree, where all the large branches met
She sat there for a while, looking for the gecko

Geckopaw looked up, watching the she-cat gracefully climb to get the gecko. Movement caught their eye and Geckopaw gasped as a long green thing fell from above Crowpaw. Skittering, the brown apprentice watched as the small creature landed on Crowpaw's head, safe from the long fall. Cheering, Geckopaw raced around the base of the tree. "Way to go! You got him!"

Geckopaw continued to cheer, almost crashing into the tree's base. The fluffy apprentice looked up to watch as another thing fell out of the tree- once more landing on Crowpaw's head. It was another gecko. Practically on overload of excitement, Geckopaw sped around camp, screeching about how Crowpaw was a gecko magnet and now was theirs.

Smiling up at the she-cat, Geckopaw sat near the base of the tree, patiently waiting for her to come down.

Geckopaw rushed over, laughing as they gathered the small creatures into their arms. "Thanks Crowpaw!" the brown apprentice sing-songed.

Geckopaw looked at her in surprise. "For my army of course!" they explained, going into a lengthy speech of how geckos would rule all. "I'd be ruler, you'd be my deputy or something, and all who bow to the geckos would be our subjects." they explained, paws flying everywhere to get the point across. "We'd go down in history, all like 'nothing was the same after the geckos rose' or like- I dunno. It'd be cool."

"Oh! I thought they would be for eating," Crowpaw now understood
She looked at the pile of geckos then guided one with a paw near her
"This one is Flowerkit,"

Geckopaw gasped in shock, "Of course we wouldn't eat them!" they yelped. Once Crowpaw named one, they calmed- if only slightly. "Ok, that one does look like a Flowerpaw. Hm- this one will be Lightningtail." Geckopaw decided, prodding at a yellow and gray gecko. "We need to name them all and start training immediately!" the brown apprentice told their comrade, nodding in a sure way.

Crowpaw nodded then poked a small one "This is ....." There was a pause "This one's Lakekit!"

"Very nice- that gecko is obviously the lakiest." Geckopaw nod in approval. "These two will be Treepaw and Leafpaw, because they look like leaves." Geckopaw comment, looking over the other geckos in their hoard.

Crowpaw pawed the named geckos towards her paws, so they can keep track
She looked at the un-named hoard "Hmm..." She pawed a colorful gecko towards her "This is Lilyshade!"
