I just got FFXII the other day....still haven't had the time to play it though....Been flipping through my friend Eddy's FFXII artbook, I was in awe at the designs of the Judges. So today out of boredom I sketched Gabranth.
The pose is a little bit stiff, but I will watch out for it on the next judge....

I've always had a liking/attraction to characters who wear that sort of Armour. As others have said the shading is very good here.I'm actually favouriting this.

I'm not a final fantasy fan (I only liked the one with Kefka and FF12) but I must say that is a very impressive image, good attention to detail, looks very professional.

Meh. Kudos to Drace, such a lovely Judge...too bad her screen time was shortened to just two scenes. She's probably the only righteous one other than Gabranth, as they see through the senate's little scheme.

Formality? I found it amusing that he became the refined, dishonored, princess' voice-of-reason. I mean, after all, we know Balthier has the least morals within the party. Eh?
And drawing the cat-ear hood (stupid concept on "ultimate accessory") on him is especially hilarious. LAWL~

Rofl, although i dont have time to play I did watched all the cut scenes and movies on youtube. So I have the just of the story's keyframe in my head already.....now I just have to play to fill in the inbetweens (WOW! Nerdy animator conversation style)

lol personally, i think cids a badass. hes this old doctor guy. who talks to himself constantly. like carrying on conversations and such. then you find out hes a mad scientist and just yeah hes awesome.
as for zargabath, hes the most rutheless judge. hes pretty close to hitler.but as for characters, fran is the equivilent to chewbacc, down to the fact that when she goes insane, she kills like 4 ppl.

I think the designs for everything in that game are so detailed and some what antique-looking. I especially love the air-ships. If only they were real~
Anywho. I love how your brushstrokes look so quickly put on, but still thought out. You managed to fit in the difficult details of the freaky Gabranth, kudos to you, in that aspect.
I've been playing the game with my boyfriend and his brother. Which part are you up to? XD

I LOVE the way they talk in this game! I am only 4 hours into it. I loved the Cinematic when Fran said this to her airship " Its not heeding me!"
That made me fell in love with the game after few hours of play.

It's all so classical. The fact that the characters all have british accents (most of 'em.) makes it so very appealing. Some of the voices don't match with the characters though...but no matter.
Just how they word things too, it sounds so intelligent. I usually don't get into final fantasy games, since most of them are turned-based and I don't really like that, but XII is alot of fun.
School sucks ass in general. And portfolio work is a pain. D:
